Born in Tenerife and raised between British and Lebanese influences, actor, writer, and playwright Taz Skylar<\/strong> has become one of Spain\u2019s fastest-rising international stars thanks to a career as unconventional as his own path into acting.<\/p>\n\n

His journey into the profession was almost accidental. While waiting for another opportunity to apply to the British Army, he developed an interest in writing and acting. What began as a temporary pursuit soon became a profession and, within just a few years, an international career. <\/p>\n

His early work came in the United Kingdom, where he appeared in a variety of film and television productions, while also writing and directing the short film Multi-Facial<\/em>. In 2019, he made his feature film debut in The Kill Team<\/em>, starring alongside Alexander Skarsg\u00e5rd in the adaptation of the Tribeca Film Festival award-winning documentary of the same name. <\/p>\n\n

His work as a writer also took him to the stage with Warheads<\/em>, a play he wrote and starred in at London\u2019s Park Theatre, which later became part of a production that received an Olivier Award in 2020.<\/p>\n\n

He went on to appear in productions including Agatha Raisin<\/strong>, The Lazarus Project<\/strong>, The Deal<\/strong>, Boiling Point<\/strong>, and Gassed Up<\/strong>, steadily establishing himself within the British entertainment industry.<\/p>\n

His international breakthrough came in 2023 with One Piece<\/em>, Netflix\u2019s live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda\u2019s beloved manga. His portrayal of Sanji<\/strong>, the Straw Hat Pirates\u2019 cook, won over both newcomers and longtime fans of the original series, quickly making him one of the show\u2019s most beloved characters. <\/p>\n\n

For Spanish audiences, his performance included a particularly appreciated detail: Taz himself provided Sanji\u2019s Spanish-language voice, bringing his distinctive Canary Islands accent to the dubbed version.<\/p>\n\n

Most recently, audiences have seen him in the latest season of One Piece<\/em> and on the big screen in Cleaner<\/em>, alongside Clive Owen, further confirming an international career that continues to grow with every new project.<\/p>\n\n
