Glenn Fabry<\/strong>\u2019s artwork has defined the visual identity of some of the most important British and American comic book series of the past few decades. An Eisner Award winner<\/strong>, the British artist is renowned for his striking realism and extraordinary attention to detail, whether working in traditional ink or creating richly painted cover art. <\/p>\n\n

His professional career began in 1985 alongside writer Pat Mills<\/a><\/strong>, illustrating Sl\u00e1ine<\/strong> for the British anthology 2000 AD<\/strong>, a collaboration that continued two years later with the daily newspaper strip Scatha<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the second half of the 1980s, he produced numerous covers for publications such as Revolver<\/strong>, Crisis<\/strong>, Deadline<\/strong>, and A1<\/strong>, the latter published under Marvel Comics\u2019 Epic Comics imprint. These works established the distinctive visual style that would soon attract the attention of the American comics industry. <\/p>\n\n

In 1991, Fabry entered one of the defining periods of his career when he became the regular cover artist for Hellblazer<\/strong> during Garth Ennis<\/strong>\u2019 celebrated run on the series. Their collaboration continued on Preacher<\/strong>, widely regarded as Fabry\u2019s signature work and one of the landmark titles published by Vertigo during the 1990s. <\/p>\n\n

His creative partnership with Ennis continued for years on projects including The Authority<\/strong>, Spider-Man\u2019s Tangled Web<\/strong>, and Thor: Vikings<\/strong>, forming one of the most acclaimed writer-artist collaborations in modern comics.<\/p>\n

From the 2000s onward, Fabry continued to expand his impressive body of work with projects including a story for The Sandman: Endless Nights<\/strong>, the graphic novel adaptation of Neil Gaiman\u2019s Neverwhere<\/strong>, written by Mike Carey, the series Greatest Hits<\/strong>, LOT 13<\/strong>, the covers for Predator vs. Judge Dredd vs. Aliens<\/strong>, and another collaboration with Neil Gaiman on American Gods<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n
