For more than two decades, Jes\u00fas Merino has been one of Spain’s most prominent artists working in the American comics industry.<\/strong> An illustrator, penciler, and inker, his career has been closely linked to some of the biggest titles published by Marvel, DC Comics, Image, Dark Horse, and, more recently, Titan Comics.<\/p>\n\n

After publishing several works in Planeta’s Laberinto line, Merino began a celebrated collaboration as Carlos Pacheco<\/strong>‘s inker, working on acclaimed series such as Avengers Forever<\/strong>, Fantastic Four<\/strong>, Superman<\/strong>, JLA\/JSA: Virtue and Vice<\/strong>, Green Lantern<\/strong>, and Arrowsmith<\/strong>. Their partnership produced some of the most memorable superhero comic pages of the late 1990s and early 2000s.<\/p>\n

He later launched his solo career as a penciler with Justice Society<\/strong> for DC Comics<\/strong>, beginning a collaboration with the publisher that has now spanned more than twenty years. During that time, he has worked on series including Superman<\/strong>, The Flash<\/strong>, Justice League<\/strong>, Teen Titans<\/strong>, Hellblazer<\/strong>, The New 52: Futures End<\/strong>, Astro City<\/strong>, Dark Nights<\/strong>, and Wonder Woman<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Among his more recent DC projects are Joker Presents: A Puzzlebox<\/strong>, the Black Adam<\/strong> prequel centered on Doctor Fate<\/strong>, and the graphic novel Waller vs. Wildstorm<\/strong>, published under the Black Label <\/strong>imprint.<\/p>\n

His career also includes the creator-owned series Los Monstruos<\/strong>, produced alongside writer James Robinson<\/strong> for Dark Horse Comics<\/strong>. After contributing cover artwork for publishers such as Ghost Machine<\/strong> and Skybound<\/strong>, he is currently illustrating the adventures of fantasy’s most legendary barbarian, Conan<\/strong>, for Titan Comics and Heroic Signatures<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n
