With a career defined by major international productions and commanding on-screen performances, Alistair Petrie has established himself as one of the most recognizable faces in contemporary British film and television. In 2026, he joins San Diego Comic-Con Málaga as a special guest.

In recent years, Petrie won over audiences as Michael Groff, the strict headmaster in Sex Education, appearing throughout all four seasons of one of the platform’s most successful series. He also received acclaim for his role as Sandy Langbourne in The Night Manager, the award-winning production that earned multiple Emmy and Golden Globe awards.

Within the world of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Petrie portrayed General Davits Draven, a role he later reprised in Andor, further expanding his presence within one of the most important franchises in popular culture.

His film credits also include Rush, The Bank Job, Cloud Atlas, and Sulphur and White, alongside an extensive television career featuring productions such as Genius, Utopia, The Terror, Deep State, and Funny Woman.

Beyond the screen, Petrie maintains a strong connection to the stage, having performed at prestigious venues and institutions including the West End, the National Theatre, and the Royal Shakespeare Company. He has also lent his voice to video games such as Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, and A Plague Tale: Requiem.

Alongside his acting work, Petrie has also begun developing projects as a producer and director through his company This Red Rock, further expanding a career defined by versatility and constant evolution.
