25/06/2026

One conversation with the right person can change your career.

That’s why Portfolio Review returns to San Diego Comic-Con Málaga 2026 as one of the convention’s most valuable professional initiatives, created to connect emerging artists and creative professionals with publishers, studios, companies, and leading figures from across the industry.

Following a successful first edition that fostered meaningful connections, professional opportunities, and valuable one-to-one meetings, Portfolio Review returns with the goal of continuing to build bridges between talent and experience.

What Is Portfolio Review?

Portfolio Review is a professional portfolio review program for visual artists who want to showcase their work to industry professionals and receive direct feedback on their projects, artistic style, and career development.

Through the program, selected participants will have the opportunity to present their portfolios to publishers, studios, companies, and invited professionals in one-to-one meetings designed to encourage meaningful conversations, professional guidance, and new career opportunities.

More than simply reviewing portfolios, Portfolio Review is about creating genuine connections between people building their careers and those already shaping the industry.

A Meeting That Led to Marvel Comics

The story of Rafael Pérez Granados, an artist from Córdoba, Spain, illustrates the impact an opportunity like Portfolio Review can have.

During San Diego Comic-Con Málaga 2025, Rafael presented his portfolio to C.B. Cebulski, Editor-in-Chief of Marvel Comics. That meeting marked the beginning of a journey that, just one year later, led to his joining Marvel after taking part in Marvel Atelier, the publisher’s international talent development program.

His story shows that Portfolio Review is about much more than receiving feedback on your work. It is an opportunity to build professional relationships that, in some cases, can change the course of a career.
