Music has a special way of staying with us long after we turn off the console or finish an episode. Sometimes it’s just a few notes. Other times, it’s a voice that can instantly transport us back to a specific character, scene, or story. Animo-san has been a part of those memories for anime and video game fans around the world for years.

Animo-san has built a career that bridges music, video games, anime, and cultural outreach, becoming a familiar figure in the otaku culture scene both in Japan and internationally.

Their musical work encompasses numerous projects related to Japanese video games. Among them are Side Kicks! beyond, for which they wrote lyrics and provided vocals; Identity V: Call of the Abyss VII; the BUSTAFELLOWS series, to which they contributed vocals and music production; and Trails in the Sky / Hoshi no Arika Zanmai, where they provided vocals and wrote English lyrics.

Their career also includes projects such as Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan Super Arrange Version, featuring music by composer Yuzo Koshiro, and The Last Story, directed by Hironobu Sakaguchi and featuring music by Nobuo Uematsu.

Beyond music, Animo-san’s career has been linked to some of the biggest names in the Japanese entertainment industry. They were part of DOG EAR RECORDS, the label founded by legendary composer Nobuo Uematsu, and were responsible for the launch of Animaru!, the anime-focused platform launched by TBS Television.

They also participated in various projects at Amazon Japan related to the internationalization of Japanese popular culture, including the creation of OTAKU Store, an initiative designed to bring Japanese products and content to fans around the world.

Beyond music, Animo-san also works as a writer and interviewer. They have conducted official interviews for Square Enix with figures such as Yoko Shimomura and Toby Fox for projects related to Super Mario RPG and LIVE A LIVE, as well as contributing liner notes to official video game soundtrack releases, including Suikoden.

A regular attendee at conventions, trade shows, and events dedicated to anime and video games, Animo-san also plays an important role as an interpreter and cultural bridge between Japanese guests, organizers, and international fan communities, facilitating communication and helping to bring Japanese popular culture even closer to audiences in different countries.

They have recently expanded their activities with the launch of a new YouTube channel, where they continue to share their passion for music, anime, video games, and fandom culture.

At San Diego Comic-Con Málaga 2026, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about Animo-san’s career and discover the work that goes into the music, events, and international promotion of otaku culture.
