In recent years, Iban Coello has established himself as one of Spain’s leading comic book artists working in the American comics industry. Based in Barcelona, his career has taken him to some of the world’s biggest publishers, illustrating stories featuring iconic characters from Marvel, DC, and the Star Wars universe.

His early work included Star Wars: Knight Errant for Dark Horse Comics, before joining DC Comics, where he illustrated series such as Superboy, Batman Beyond Universe, Injustice: Gods Among Us Year Five, and Earth 2: Society.

He later moved to Marvel Comics, contributing to titles including Deadpool & the Mercs for Money, Venom, Dark Ages, and Fantastic Four, showcasing his versatility across a wide range of characters and storytelling styles.

Today, Iban Coello is an exclusive artist for Marvel Comics, where he continues to work on some of the publisher’s flagship titles.
