Nearly thirty years after its release, *Starship Troopers* remains one of science fiction’s greatest cult classics, and this October it will be the focus of one of the most special reunions at San Diego Comic-Con Málaga 2026.

From October 2 to 4, the convention will bring together Casper Van Dien, Denise Richards, Dina Meyer, Michael Ironside, and Jake Busey—five of the actors who brought to life the most memorable characters in the film directed by Paul Verhoeven.

Casper Van Dien will once again step into the shoes—at least for a few days—of Johnny Rico, alongside Denise Richards (Carmen Ibáñez), Dina Meyer (Dizzy Flores), Michael Ironside (Lieutenant Jean Rasczak), and Jake Busey (Ace Levy), bringing together on the same stage a large part of the main cast of one of the genre’s most influential films.

Released in 1997 and based on the novel by Robert A. Heinlein, *Starship Troopers* quickly transcended its status as an action blockbuster to become a cult classic. Its combination of spectacle, political satire, groundbreaking visual effects, and an unforgettable universe has ensured that it remains the subject of analysis, tributes, and rediscovery nearly three decades after its theatrical release.

On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, attendees will have the chance to relive, alongside the cast, the filming of a movie that left a lasting impression on an entire generation of science fiction fans.
