
For more than three decades, Rodney Ramos has been part of some of the most important comic book series in the American comics industry. An artist, inker, and colorist, his career has made him one of the industry’s most versatile creators, with credits spanning Marvel, DC Comics, Valiant, Marvel UK, and several other major publishers.
Ramos began his professional career at Marvel Comics, where he was part of the production department led by John Romita Sr., known as the Romita’s Raiders. Soon afterward, he moved into penciling and inking on titles such as Conan the Barbarian, Marvel Comics Presents, What If…?, and ThunderCats, launching a career that would see him contribute to many of the industry’s most iconic characters.

His name is especially associated with DC Comics, where he has spent years working on series including Batman, Detective Comics, Nightwing, Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps, Wonder Woman, Justice League of America, Justice Society of America, Birds of Prey, Catwoman, Batgirl,
Robin, Secret Six, Black Adam: The Dark Age, 52, and the acclaimed Transmetropolitan, among many others.
Throughout his career, he has also worked for Valiant, contributing to series such as Armorines, Bloodshot, and X-O Manowar, as well as for Marvel UK on titles including Death’s Head II, Black Axe, and Super Soldiers.

As an inker, Ramos has collaborated with many of the industry’s leading artists, helping shape the visual identity of characters such as Batman, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Wolverine, the X-Men, The Punisher, and many more across multiple generations of comics.
